Taofeek Ibrahim Adeshina Documentary Photographer

The words “stop at nothing” have always been able to motivate me to keep on pushing as I see myself beyond my past and present stage in life.

Mapping out plans and executing them monthly and yearly has always helped me visualize my future.

The most challenging part of my life based on my profession is at the earliest stage of my dream of being a documentary photographer.

I had no camera but I’d attend photography workshops/schools (by Nikon) as well as move to different states within Nigeria to acquire knowledge in the world of photography.

Whilst on this journey without a camera, I used my smart phone and would always feel intimidated by other photographers with their huge gears and great images.

I told myself I’d get to that stage and years passed but I kept striving till I acquired my first digital camera. Thank God I never let insecurities get the best of me because I’m in a better position today.

My favorite inspiring quote is: “There is one thing the photograph must contain, the humanity of the moment”.
